Marietta is a vibrant city rich in history and the largest city in Cobb County. Established in 1834, the city offers world class amenities within a unique blend of small town values and big city opportunities.

Nestled just north of Atlanta, Marietta´s famous town square is home to quaint shops, award winning Theatre in the Square, restaurants, and a beautiful central park with fountain, gazebo and lots of fun-filled activities.

Marietta´s most famous landmark, The Big Chicken, sits atop a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant and it´s hard to get directions around the city without reference to it. The Big Chicken is also the namesake of the Big Chicken Chorus, an award winning barbershop style chorus.

History is rich and bountiful in Marietta. The city is famous for being the temporary home of General Sherman during his March to the Sea in the Civil War. Also within its limits is the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, itself a place of rich Civil War history. Visitors and residents alike delight in the many Victorian homes and historic sites.

Cultural and urban environments co-exist in this unique city and support a first class education system, innovative utility services, a transportation system serving the best interests of residents and visitors plus safe, adequate, well maintained housing for all citizens. Multiple local attractions, industry, festivals and sporting events provide many exciting things to do and business to conduct.
