City of Marietta
Marietta is a vibrant city rich in history and the largest city in Cobb County. Established in 1834, the city offers world class amenities within a unique blend of small town values and big city opportunities.

History is rich and bountiful in Marietta. The city is famous for being the temporary home of General Sherman during his March to the Sea in the Civil War. Also within its limits is the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, itself a place of rich Civil War history.
