City of Kennesaw
Located in one of the fastest growing areas, and being just a half hour drive from Atlanta, Kennesaw takes pride in offering its residents and visitors big-city amenities without big-city headaches. Kennesaw State University, the 3rd largest university in the state of Georgia, sits just east of the city and boasts nationally acclaimed degrees and sports. Just to the south of Kennesaw lays Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park where artifacts of various war campaigns are on display along with hiking trails and picnic areas for family outings. Just off Main Street the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History houses the famous General locomotive that played a key role in the Great Locomotive Chase. Also contributing to the prosperity of Kennesaw, a major retail hub, Town Center at Cobb mall, was built in 1986. Housing major retail shops and dining establishments, the mall area is a destination within itself.
Kennesaw, Georgia, a community with a rich history, and a focus on a progressive and successful future.
